At Julie's Café we love cheese. We are French after all!
It isn't always easy to be vegan and say goodbye to cheese...
We know that many vegan people face the same situation. So we developed our own range of vegan cheese, or as we sometimes write it: "cheeze".
We started by creating a vegan version of the Camembert / Brie out of cashew nuts. It is an exciting 3 to 4 weeks maturation process where the cheeze looks slightly different every day.
Then we created in the same way a cheeze inspired by the Bleu, and for this type the maturation process is even longer and can take up to 5 weeks.
We have even added some Mozzarella, Cheddar, Smoked Cheddar and Parmesan inspired cheeze. And some Cream Cheese. Great with a fresh piece of bread or with hard bread!
The Ashed White was created as a "special edition" of the Inspired by Camembert, containing vegetal ashes.
To use in our summer salads, we also made a tofu-based version of the Feta.
OBS: ALLERGIES!! Most of our cheezes are made from cashew nuts, except Inspired by Feta.
